Spring 2019 North Carolina SSN Meetings
Please join North Carolina SSN for upcoming chapter meetings, which rotate between Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. You do NOT have to be a member to attend nor are you committing to membership by participating in our events.

We're committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive community of policy-engaged scholars to serve as a resource to policymakers, civic leaders, and journalists in North Carolina. Learn more about the network (scholars.org/chapter/north-carolina) and/or about membership (bit.ly/2Rbdyv6).

Wednesday, May 8 at 5:30 at West End Wine Bar in Durham. This meeting will feature a media training facilitated by North Carolina SSN Co-Director Lindsey Haynes-Maslow.

Wednesday, June 5 at 5:30 in Raleigh (Location TBD)

What would you like to get from these meetings?
Tell us what you're thinking. Are you interested in leadership? Do you have ideas for the chapter or professional development that you'd like to get from future meetings? Do you want to organize a chapter meeting in another part of the state? Do you want to start a working group? Do you want training on talking to the media, or writing an op-ed? We'd love to hear your ideas!
What are your childcare needs?
We know childcare can be hard. Kids are always welcome at chapter meetings (we have crayons, markers, and fabulous science-themed coloring pages!). But we're also happy to hire someone if folks expect to bring children and think it would be helpful. Please let us know if you'd be interested and if there are specific sitters/providers that you'd recommend.
Do you have any allergies or dietary restrictions?
